Can't tell if it's the sexy voice, the zig-zag harmonizing, cool grooves, or odd phrasing that is making me listen to this album over and over. But whatever it is this is just a plain cool reckid.

Res, pronounced Reese, beats out all the other stripped down, neo-soul, female r&b singers out there. She's all soul, yet she reminds me of Fiona Apple, Stevie Nicks, and Kate Bush. It's warm, adventurous, fun and funky. Which is all you can ask of what's coming out your speakers.

PS - Be sure to keep the CD playing for the bonus track. It's got that classic Ramones-like "1, 2, 3, 4" count off, then proceeds to rock the house. Smokin…..
